Disc squat

Squat with the plate held at the chest

1 min roundsWith a disc

Hold your plate at the chest, the same place as the weight in this clip.

How to do it

  1. 1Hold the plate with both hands at your chest, close to the body.
  2. 2Feet about shoulder width, toes slightly out.
  3. 3Sit the hips back and down. The plate stays at the chest.
  4. 4Drive through the whole foot to stand.
  5. 5Work about 30 seconds, or 10 slow reps.

Tip

A heavier plate makes the squat harder. Stay with a light one until the depth is easy.

Avoid

Pushing the plate away from the chest, or letting the knees cave in.
