Disc front raise

Shoulders, plate lifts to shoulder height

How to do it

  1. 1Hold the plate with both hands in front of the thighs, arms almost straight.
  2. 2Lift the plate to shoulder height. Elbows stay soft.
  3. 3Lower it back to the thighs with control.
  4. 4Keep the ribs down so the lower back does not arch.
  5. 5Work 10–15 slow reps.

Tip

If the shoulders shrug toward the ears, use a lighter plate.

Avoid

Swinging the plate up with the hips, or lifting it past the shoulders.
